Donna Casper

Donna Nesbit Casper passed away on July 9, 2011. She was born August 21, 1921 in Provo, Utah to Thomas Earl and Nellie Snyder Nesbit. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Dee Alonzo Casper, her brother Ted Nesbit and her granddaughter Laurie Welch. Donna is survived by her daughters Kathleen Robnett of Nampa, Ida., Trudie (Richard) Galloway of Meridian, Ida., Connie (Gerald) McMullin of Spanaway, Wash., and Cristie (David) Lovell of Amarillo, Texas. She is the beloved matriarch of 20 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Donna spent a happy childhood in Provo, Utah and teen years in San Diego, Calif. Here she met her life-long love, Dee Casper, to whom she was married on May 31, 1941. They lived throughout the western states and spent a number of years abroad in Canada, Tonga and England working for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mom found joy in her family, in the beauties of nature, in learning and in her deep and abiding faith. She is an example to all her posterity of “enduring to the end.”
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 12 in the LDS Chapel at 121 N. Canyon Street, Nampa. A viewing will be held at the church from 9-9:45 a.m. prior to services.
