Glade Norman Brimhall

 

 

Glade Norman Brimhall of Nampa, passed away December 20, 2011 at the age of 91. Glade was born July 13, 1920 in Payson, UT to Joseph and Rebecca Losee Brimhall. Glade grew up and went to school in Payson and graduated from high school there. After high school Glade moved to Seattle, Washington to attend Barber School. It was there that he met and later married Minnie Annie Knoepfie on May 18, 1941. Glade and Minnie became the parents of six children: sons David and Gordon and daughters Karen, Glenda, Norma and Becky.  After 23 years of marriage Glade and Minnie divorced. On September 9, 1967 Glade married Sarah Ella Naegle inCouer D’ Alene,IDand gained three more children: Sarah, Dustin and Charles Amrine. As a young man and for part of his adult life Glade worked as a builder in and around Payson and theSaltLakevalley. He was proud of the opportunity he had to work on the visitor’s center atTemple SquareinSalt Lake City. Glade loved to tell stories to his grandchildren about working there. Besides building Glade was a Barber for a short period and always had time to give a haircut. Over the years Glade and his family also lived and worked in Washington, Texas, Montana, Wyoming, Oregon and for the last 25 years or so was a resident of Nampa, Idaho.

Glade is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sarah; sons: David and Gordon Brimhall and Dustin Amrine; daughters: Karen Hubbard, Glenda Love, Norma Hardman, Becky Fulton and Sarah Best. He was preceded in death by a son Charles Allan Amrine.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,927 Ruth Lane,Nampa. A viewing will be held at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Zeyer Funeral Chapel,Nampa. 467-7300
