Mirla Francis Whiting Morgan, 81 of Nampa passed away peacefully at her home on October 22, 2011. She was born December 21, 1929 in Pocatello,Idaho to Ralph and Irene Snyder Whiting, the seventh of 10 children. She lived in Crystal, Idaho until the age of three when the family moved to Salmon. Mirla was raised during the great depression on a ranch where she worked and played with her family. She graduated from Salmon High School. On December 10, 1948 she married her eternal sweetheart, Theo Morgan, in theIdaho Falls LDS Temple. They lived in Salmon where they ranched until 1961 when they moved to Nampa. In 1996 they moved to the Kuna area. Mirla faithfully served her family and others throughout her life.
Mirla is survived by her husband, Theo; children: Brenda (Charles) Hassard, Marta (Jerry) Ogden, Cheryl (Gary)Bradshaw, Kent (Gina) Morgan, Nancy (Terry) Bradshaw, Janel (Lance) Thueson and Kevin (Katherine) Morgan; 33 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren; her sisters: Katheryne Stokes, Margaret Patten, Colleen Arave and Lois Farr and brother Dan Whiting. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Clint and Ralph, sisters Lucille Infanger and Helen Parmenter; one granddaughter Kissandra and one great-granddaughter Morgan Ashley.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Kuna LDS Stake Center, corner of Blackcat and Kuna Road. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 28th at the Zeyer Funeral Chapel, 83 N. Midland Blvd in Nampa and at the church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday prior to the services.
